About

Hey, I’m Sarah!

…and I’m here to help you draw horses.

The long and short of it:

I’m never sure where to begin, as I’m not sure where it started.

From the very first time I sat on a horse as a toddler (it sneezed and I cried), to the first time I saw the opening credits for Black Beauty, I have always loved horses.

They say once they’re in the blood, that’s it; and it my case, this is definitely true.

Growing up in a creative family, and drawing from an early age, it only seemed natural that I would draw the one thing I loved the most: horses.

More than 20 years and many weird and wonderful adventures later, I am back to my roots, and back in the studio. Only these days, my passion lies with helping other people learn how to draw these beautiful, majestic animals, but in ways that are simple and fun (and that don’t take 20 years to master!)

I wanted to offer the support to people that I wish I’d had when I started, and so The Equine Art Academy was born!

I’m so happy that you’re here, and I’m so excited to help you on your Equine Art journey. Even if you’re just starting out, I believe that with the right balance of motivation and support, anyone can learn how to draw horses well.
